A layer of plum butter beneath the Granny Smith apple filling spiked with Organic Canadian Maple syrup and scented with a cinnamon blend. Serving suggestion: heat to eat and serve with vanilla ice cream.

This pie is 9″ in diameter.

Ingredients:

Base: White flour, unsalted butter, water, non-hydrogenized canola shortening, white sugar.

Filling: Grannysmith apples, butter, brown sugar, maple, cinnamon.

Egg Wash: Whole eggs.

Recommended Storage:

Storage: This pie can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, or in the freezer in an airtight bag for 3 months. When thawing, remove the pie from the bag and allow it to thaw on the counter for several hours. Then reheat as noted below.

Reheating Instructions: Take pie out of the fridge for a couple of hours to allow it to come to room temperature. Then place it in the oven at 325 – 350F for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
