The Bon Ton Bakery and Patisserie is an artisanal bakery that started in 1956. The goal back then and today is to create the finest bread and pastries with quality ingredients and no compromises. Over the years, our product range has expanded significantly and now also includes a number of grocery items that complement our baked goods, but our value of ensuring the highest quality for all of our products has never changed. We are always looking for world class talent, so if you are a professional bread baker with significant experience in baking long fermentation sourdough, rye, baguette, croissants, and other breads, and love to work in a team environment, a position at Bon Ton may be for you.
Your formal school training and experience will include mixing, bench work, proofing, and baking all types of yeasted and sourdough breads, as well as working with laminated dough. In addition, you will have experience developing new bread recipes with a focus on sourdough bread, as well as managing and training less experienced staff.
As part of our baking team, you will work overnight, 5 days/week, and you will have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand and/or bend for extended periods of time. You must also be able to work in Canada.
