Sachertorte is an Austrian dessert, created by Franz Sacher, back in 1832. Franz was an apprentice chef and was only 16 at the time, when he created this world famous dessert for the Chancellor of Austria and his party guests. Our version is made with Valrhona Manjari (64%) and Araguani (72%) Dark Chocolate, and housemade apricot jam, made from Sunbest Okanagan Apricots.

If you want to eat it the way the Chancellor did…whip up some full cream and dip every bite of the Sachertorte in the whipped cream…and just like that, you’ll feel like royalty!

Sponge: Whole Eggs, Full Cream, White Sugar, Invert Sugar, Almond Flour, White Flour, Cocoa Powder, Valrhona Araguani 72% Chocolate, Baking Powder.

Jam Layer: Apricots, White Sugar, Pectin, Lemon Juice.

Ganache: Full Cream, Valrhona Manjari 64% Chocolate, Unsalted Butter, Cocoa Butter.

Topping: 64% Chocolate.
