Chopped dried organic black mission figs and robust toasted walnuts are added to our iconic Heritage Sourdough for this beautiful bread. Fifty percent organic white flour & fifty percent organic stone-ground heritage park wheat flour, grown and milled by Gold Forest Grains in Morinville Alberta. This true sourdough undergoes a 40-hour long fermentation which gives it great depth of flavour.
This bread is a healthy choice because the natural leavening process pre-digests the sugars, lowering the glycemic index of the loaf so it won’t spike your blood sugar. Read our sourdough story to learn more about long fermentation!
